Description: Island of Dore Holm, seen from Fiorda Taing, south coast of Esha Ness, Shetland Isles. An offshore island with a natural arch, composed of Old Red Sandstone rocks. The rocks are composed of the same andesite as that of The Bruddans further west and overlain by bedded andesitic agglomerate. The andesites and tuffs give rise to spectacular cliffs and offshore stacks. With continued marine erosion the arch will collapse so forming a stack.
