The little bays on the north side of Carr Naze are known as 'The Doodles'. This is 'Long Doodle' with 'Second Doodle' between the promontories. The upper part of the cliffs is 'Passage Beds' to the Coralline Oolite, overlain by boulder clay. The Ball Bed is seen in section, with loose 'balls' in the pool. (See A5480 and 5481).] |
