Description: Orecombe Point, Exmouth. Looking NE. Exmouth Sandstone and Mudstone. Channel sand unit shows the characteristic finishing upwards structure and overlying structureless mudstone of the flood basin, with intercalated beds of the coarse overbank deposits crevasse splays. Large-scale epsilon-cross-stratified set in the central part of the face overlies pi and omikron-cross-stratified sets with desiccation cracked mud lenses.
