Description: Old pit, N. of Tilburstow Lodge, 1 1/4 m. S. of Godstone. Looking W. Hythe Beds chert. The spiculiferous chert bands at the top of the Hythe Beds have here been faulted down from the main mass of the formation, and form a faulted outlier in which there is a steep northerly dip.
