Description: Fallin, Central Region. One of four mine tips or 'bings' of colliery waste in the Stirling area that contain enough material to be regarded as a potential resource. It is located south of Fallin. Material from bings such as these have been used as fill in road and motorway construction and in strengthening the artificial levees adjacent to the River Forth and also elsewhere where it helps to conserve resources of higher quality aggregates.
