Description: Rubislaw Quarry. Aberdeenshire. View at base of the quarry showing large granite blocks brought down by blasting. Several quarrymen can be seen working on a very large block. One is using a pneumatic drill, the other is wielding a hammer. The block shows evidence of recent splitting by the plug and feather method. A large steel hawser loosely surrounds the block.
