Description: | Bow Fiddle, Scar Nose, Portknockie, 2.4 km. north-north-west of Cullen. Banffshire. An arch formed in inclined thick-bedded quartzite and thin mica-schists of the Cullen Quartzite. The sea stack was formerly attached to the Scar Nose headland but became detached by marine erosion. Similarily, the arch shown in the photograph will eventually collapse leaving an isolated stack. |
