Description: Moss-litter Works, Dunmore Moss, 8.9 km. east-south-east of Stirling. Cut peat drying at side of 'banks' (ditches) near the works where it is teased and baled for commercial purposes. Dunmore Moss is an extensive area of peat resting on the clays of the carse or 50 ft. raised beach plain. It is one of the few relics of a moss which formerly covered the whole of the carse.
