| Description: | Bin Quarry, Huntly. Overturned graded layered olivine-gabbros, Bin Quarry, Huntly. Overturned modally graded layering in gabbros in the Bin Quarry in the Huntly Intrusion. The peridotite bases of the layered units lie on the upper side showing that the layering has been overturned, and these grade downwards into olivine-gabbros with anorthositic tops. The base (upper side) of the thick peridotite layer in the middle cross-cuts the underlying layer, due either to magmatic scouring or to an intrusive relationship. |
