Description: Small hill adjoining Foel-yays, 3 km. N. of Borth. Sand-dunes and storm beach north of Borth. The viewpoint is an isolated hill of solid rocks (mudstones and sandstones of the Upper Llandovery Series - Borth Mudstones Formation) surrounded by blown sand. The golf course in the foreground is on thin blown sand with poorly developed dunes on the seaward side. The present day storm beach fringes the western edge of the dunes, and earlier storm beach gravels underlie much of the blown sand area. The high ground in the distance is formed of mudstones and sandstones of the Borth Mudstones Formation and (to the west) Aberystwyth Grits Formation.
