Description: Roadside bank 400 m. SE of Tal-y-bont Drain, Uwchygarreg. Looking W. Nivation gravel (head). Nivation gravel (head) is a common hill-slope deposit of Mid-Wales and is present usually above the level of the valley drift and can exhibit 'ice-wedge' disturbance. It is a convenient source of fine gravel.
