Bedded and knoll limestones of Dyserth Limestone Group (Carboniferous Limestone) on north limb of Gloddaeth Syncline. Craigside (Craig-y-Don) on right - mass of drift overlying faulted Denbigh Grit Group (Wenlock), and also Llandovery and Caradoc-Ashgill series (nowhere seen). Background: hills behind Prestatyn, Clydian Hills and the Vale of Clwyd. Parts of Rhyl and Abergele can just be discerned. |
