Description: Little Ormes Head, Llandudno, Caernarvonshire (Gwynedd). Looking NW. Lower quarry, north-east corner of Little Ormes Head. Dull grey brown and reddened thin to thick-bedded predominantly fine limestone, locally dolomitized; lenses of bioclastic limestone and bands of porcellanous limestone and dark mudstone. Bedded limestone overlain by massive reef-type limestone. Strongly jointed; central fissure infilled with dull red earthy material containing fragments of siltstone and marl-solution cavity. Height of face 50 ft. (15.2 m.). Dyserth Limestone Group (? Permo-Triassic and Pleistocene infilling cavity).
