Description: The Devils Kneading Trough, Broad Downs near Wye. Looking SW. Deep coombe in chalk escarpment. The steep valley sides are cut in the Lower Chalk. Coombe deposit is present in the flat valley-floor and on parts of the Gault outcrop near the roadway. The Gault extends from the wood at the mouth of the coombe to the woodlands in the distance.
