Description: West Lyn River, 150 yd. NW of Stock Barn and 475 yd. W. of Stock Castle (earthwork). Looking SE. North Exmoor floods, 1952. A straightened-out river course. Gravel deposition and erosion kept pace with each other. The geologist is standing on the site of the original course whilst the river is seen to have partly filled in even its straightened channel.
