Description: | Hollychrome Brick Co.'s Pit, near Warmley Station, Warmley near Bristol. Fossil tree trunk standing vertically in hard mudstone. The trunk is in the form of a pitch cast in hard sandstone and has been broken into at least four short lengths. Each length is highly sheared and there has been tramlation as a result of bedding plane slip during folding. Lower Coal Series, south side and eastern end of Kingswood Anticline. |
