Description: | Cligga Head Quarry, about 1 1/4 m. W. of Perranporth. Looking W. Cligga Head: greisenized granite. Vein taken in a roadstone quarry, showing greisen bands (dark) in kaolinized granite. Each greisen band has a narrow quartz vein at the centre; farther south (see A8126 and A8127) the veins are wider and contain cassiterite and wolfram as well as quartz. (See also A84 to A90). |
