Description: 1/4 m. S. of Botallack Head, St. Just. Looking N. Coast scenery: Land's End area. The cliffs are metamorphosed basic igneous rocks. The Crowns Lode of Botallack Mine, trending N. 30 degrees W. (a little left of the direction of the view) crops out in the cliffs between the two old engine houses which are on Crowns Engine Shaft. The rock in the sea to the left of and beyond the engine houses is known as the Crowns.
