Description: Murton Pike. Looking N. Murton Pike, from south. The rock forming Murton Pike and the featureless slope to the left are polyphase folded slates of the Murton Formation. They are separated by a low-angle reversed fault from the Lower Carboniferous limestones which form the scars on the right. The foreground is of boulder clay resting on St. Bees Sandstone.
