Description: Station-yard, Frodsham Station. Looking N. The Frodsham Beds in the upper part of the Lower Keuper Sandstone are softer sandstones, indistinguishable in character and appearance from the underlying Bunter Sandstones. A section in these beds alongside Frodshamm Railway Station showing the wedge-shaped character of the bedding, their mottled character and the presence of oblique joints along which weathering has taken place.
