Description: Howey Lane, W. of Frodsham Church. Looking SSW. The Frodsham Beds in the upper part of the Lower Keuper Sandstone are soft sandstones indistinguishable in character and appearance from the underlying Bunter Sandstones. A section in these beds at Howey Lane, Frodsham; showing their strongly false-bedded character, the presence of hardened oblique joints and to the extreme right, a large concretionary structure probably due to ferruginous infiltration.
