Description: Talbot Estates Sand-pits, N. of Borough Green Station. Looking N. Phosphatic nodule in basal Gault. Details of the Gault capping the section in A7121 and A7124. This is an enlarged view of a small part of A7122. The phosphatic nodule is seen to be breaking up into fragments due to weathering. Most of the light specks in the clay are sand grains, but the dark clay also weathers light on the surface. See also A7125.
