Description: Kent Sand and Ballast Coy's Pit, N. of Bradbourne Hall, Sevenoaks. Looking WNW. Fault rock in Folkestone Beds. A 'wall' of fault rock and ironstone left standing in the workings for building sand. The fault rock courses east and west and governs the water-level in the sand on either side. The large masses of ironstone occur only on the north side of the fault rock. The machinery is used for sizing and washing gravel, (not shown in the photograph), 10 ft. of which overlies the sand.
