Description: Kent Sand and Ballast Coy's Pit, N. of Bradbourne Hall. Looking NE. Sand and gravel pit. The gravel, about 10 ft. thick, overlies sand of the Folkestone Beds. The gravel is the dark stratum seen on the right of the picture, overlying a light coloured sand. The picture also gives a general view of the electrically driven washing and sizing plant shown in No. A7102, while part of the 'wall' of fault rock (No. A7103) is to be seen above the left-hand floating tank. See also A5357 and A5358.
