Description: View of Great Orme. Looking W. The Great Orme as viewed from the Little Orme. The lower largely wooded slopes of the Orme are formed by the Llandudno Pier Dolomites and partially dolomitized Great Orme Limestone. This latter formation also forms the prominent cliffs and scarps to the right of the photograph. The overlying Bishops Quarry Beds and Summit Limestones are less well exposed and give rise to the more subdued topography of the high ground. Llandudno is built largely on blown and estuarine alluvium.
