Description: Quarry Hill Brickyard, Baltic Road, Tonbridge. Looking E. Fault plane between Wadhurst Clay and Lower Tunbridge Wells Sand. The Wadhurst Clay on the left consisting of blue, grey and brown shales, with inconstant bands of cyrena and paludina limestones and of clay ironstone normally dips north, but in the vicinity of the fault it dips south. The beds of the Lower Tunbridge Wells Sands are shattered and the dip is increased in the proximity of the plane of dislocation.
