Description: | Viewpoint, Llyn Gader, (W. side), S. of Dolgelly. Looking E. The northern scarped face of Cader Idris. The view is taken looking east from the moraine at the foot of the corrie-lake Llyn-y-Gader. The scarp consists of the outcrop of the granophyre shown in A6515 and A6516, which trends nearly east and west. The intrusion overlies the Llyn-y-Gader Mudstones and ashes (lower part), which form the scree-covered lower slopes in the view. |
