Description: Viewpoint, slopes N. of Llanelltyd. Looking S. The Mawddach Valley and Cader Idris from near Llanelltyd, Dolgelly. The river meanders over the silted-up floor of a well-glaciated valley cut on the boundary between the Maentwrog (right) and Ffestiniog Beds (left). About a mile distant the Afon Wnion, after passing Dolgelly (behind left shoulder), joins the Mawddach, and enters the estuary of the latter river, beyond which Cader Idris is to be seen.
