Description: Crib Goch and Llyn Llydaw, E. of Snowdon. Looking NW. Crib Goch and Llyn Llydaw. The prominent upper part of Crib Goch consists of an acid and frequently spherulitic rock. On this side it has an almost vertical contact with the Bedded Pyroclastic Series into which it has been intruded. The rocks of this series spread from the right to the left (Bwlch Coch) beneath the summit and from the slight shoulder to the right. In shadow to the left of the Bwlch is another acid intrusion, whilst all the lower slopes are in the Lower Rhyolitic Series of the Snowdon Volcanic Suite. Glacial drift and boulders in foreground.
