Description: Pass of Llanberis, at Pont-y-Gromlech. Looking WNW. The Pass of Llanberis, looking down. The view is taken from about ? mile west of Pen-y-pass Hotel. To the right Gwastadnant Grits in shade, dip beneath tuffs of the Lower Rhyolitic Series occurring in the lower slopes and to the left of the road. The prominent crag above the road in centre near Pont-y-Gromlech is formed by the Gwastadnant Grits here crossing the valley and stiffened by Pitts Head Rhyolite and an intrusion of dolerite. Above the crag is a distant glimpse of Llyn Peris.
