Description: Hunthercombe Lane Pit. Looking N. Section of deposits of the Taplow Terrace of the Thames, south of Burnham. A succession of deposits is here shown. Formerly brickearth was dug above the level of the top of the section, but a layer of debris, sherds and burnt clay alone represents it. Strongly current-bedded gravel and sand with lenses of Coombe Deposits constitute the remainder of the section. No implements have been recorded from this pit.
