Description: Baker's Farm Pit. Looking N. High terrace (100' or Boyn Hill) palaeolithic gravels of the Thames at Farnham Royal. This is a closer view of the pit-face shown in A6368. Palaeolithic flint implements are restricted to the sandy series overlying the strongly fore-set gravels at the base. The implements are very much rolled and many are unrolled: they are of early Acheulian type both points and ovates occurring freely - flakes also occur in plenty.
