Description: Pearson's Gravel Pit, Dartford Heath. Looking N. View of slope of old channel, gravels filling the channel and even-bedded gravel of Boyn Terrace resting on channel gravels. Dartford Heath. Beneath the corrugated iron shed the Thanet Sand is well seen. The bottom of the channel slopes down to the pump where the man stands. Channel gravels fill up the valley to the level of the flat surface of the Thanet Sand and Boyn Terrace gravels sweep right across them to rest on the Thanet Sand. No implements have been found in the old channel.
