Caption: Hafod y Llan Mine.
Description: Hafod y Llan Mine. Old workings of Hafod y Llan Mine (Cu Pb Zn) close to the Watkin Path in the lower part of Cwm Llan, south-east Snowdon. The mine is situated at the contact of acid ash flow tuffs of the Lower Rhyolitic Tuff Formation and basalts, basic tuffs and hyaloclastites of the Bedded Pyroclastic Formation. Contact runs up the grassy gully immediately to the right of the dump in the middle distance.
