Description: Blue Anchor Point (W. side). Looking E. Shallow anticline, Blue Anchor Point. The rocks froming the cliff consists of Trias (Keuper Marl) strongly veined with gypsum which owing to its greater hardness stands out from the cliff. The rocks have been folded into a shallow anticline. Marine erosion of the horizontal marls causes undercutting and collapse of the cliff, producing a vertical profile.
