Description: Morthoe. Looking N. Headland and reefs formed of Morte Slates (Devonian). Morthoe. The Morte Slates are hard dark grey argillaceous rocks containing remains of sheared fossils. Some of these fossils appear to be related to early Palaeozoic forms, while others resemble Spififer verneuili of the Upper Devonian. The beds are vertical.
