Description: S. of Maer Cliff, N. of Bude. Looking E. V-shaped syncline, Maer Cliff, Bude. This fold is asymmetric the right-hand limb resting at a lower angle than the left-hand. Culm Measure sandstones of different thicknesses interbedded with shales form the cliff face which has been diversified by rain and sea into ribs and flintings, but presents the sombre blackish hue of this coast.
