Description: SW of High Crag, Dale Head, Duddon Valley, Cumbria. Looking E. Blocky flow-brecciated andesite lava overlain by laminated volcaniclastic siltstone. The interstices between the angular and subangular blocks on top of the porphyritic andesite lava flow are filled with laminated volcaniclastic siltstone. Subsequent compaction has deformed the lamination, both over and between the blocks. The lava is overlain by thin parallel-bedded volcaniclastic siltstones.
