| Description: | SW of High Crag, Dale Head, Duddon Valley. Looking E. Laminated volcaniclastic siltstone overlying blocky flow-brecciated andesite lava. The laminated volcaniclastic siltstone fills the interstices between the sub-angular blocks of andesite on the lower part of the photograph. Compaction has deformed the laminae over the blocks of lava; the lamination gradually becomes uniform and parallel upwards. |
