Description: NE of Trevique Farm, E. of the Strangles. Looking NE. Typical V-valley of North Cornwall, north-east of Trevique Farm, Strangles. As a result of post-Pliocene emergence of the land the streams acquired enhanced cutting power and rapidly deepened their courses. In terrain of hard rocks the V-shape of the valley remains intact. The rocks consist of grits and shales of Culm Measure, Upper Carboniferous age.
