The section is somewhat broken up and disturbed by slipping which has in places given the appearance of faulting. The persistence to weathering of the bands of hard calcareous sandstone, compared with the soft sand, is well shown, as is the etching on the hard bands, in part due to the uneven distribution of the calcareous cement.
