Description: Viewpoint, 1/2 m. W. of Worgret. Looking SW. Scenery of country on the outcrops of the Eocene and Upper Cretaceous strata near Wareham. The low-lying country in the foreground is composed of soft Eocene strata, along which the River Frome has cut its valley. The hills in the background consist of Chalk; the steep slope is a dip-slope and owes its form to a very steep angle of dip which occurs in the Chalk of this ridge.
