Description: Viewpoint, about 1/2 m. S. of West Dean. Looking E. Subsidiary Chalk escarpment along an anticlinal fold, West Dean, Wilts. An east-to-west valley has been eroded along an anticlinal fold parallel with the well-developed Grimstead syncline near Salisbury. On the south side of the valley, a secondary escarpment has been produced.
