Description: Cliff End. Looking NW. Cliffs in basal Wadhurst Clay and upper Ashdown Beds. The northernmost of the series of three photographs of the cliffs between the Haddocks and Cliff End Faults. The photograph covers approximately 120 m. of cliff between TQ 8871 1290 and 8878 1304. On the left the cliffs rise to about 30 m. above O.D., and fall to below 16 m. at the fault on the right. The 'Cliff End Sandstone' appears on the left and can be traced to the Cliff End Fault on the right, where it is thrown down to the north-east by about 6m. Fragments of the Cliff End submerged forest are visible in the foreground.
