Description: Greystone Lime Quarry, 1/2 m. NE of St. Catherine's Church, Merstham. Looking N. by E. Middle and Lower Chalk. The Greystone Quarry, situated in the face of the escarpment of the North Downs, exposes the Middle and Lower Divisions of the Chalk. The Belemnite Marls at the top of the Lower Chalk are seen about two-thirds of the way up the face of the quarry, and in the right-hand side of the view show a dip of 5 degrees north.
