Description: The Dove Valley at Hollinsclough, Derbyshire/North Staffs. Looking N. Scenery at the junction between the Dinantian apron-reef complex limestones at the margin of the Derbyshire Block, and the overlying Namurian shales and sandstones. The valley of the Swallow Brook in Namurian shales (E2 -R1c) forms the centre background with the apron-reef complex limestones forming Chrome Hill on the right and the Longnor Sandstones forming Holling Hill on the left.
