Description: Heyden Brook, 2 m. NW of Woodhead Station. Looking ENE. Band of bullions in Millstone Grit shales. The shales seen in the stream-cliff contain the marine band of Reticuloceras reticulatum mut. ?B?. These fossils are normally represented by flattened impressions. Calcareous nodules occur in one layer and are indicated by the hammer and the boy's left-hand. In these the goniatites etc. are preserved uncrushed; they usually contain petroleum.
