Description: N. face of Chrome Hill, upper Dove Valley. Looking ESE. Scenery formed by the limestones of B2 apron-reef complex at the western margin of the Derbyshire Block. The marginal reef complex limestones form the foreground slope and the two steep-sided hills (Parkhouse Hill and Wheeldon Hill) beyond. The more rounded hills to the left are of D1 shelf limestones (Bee Low Limestones) and the embayment in the middle ground and the Dove Valley to the right are in the unconformably overlying Namurian shales.
