The Crowns section of Botallack Mine looking across De Narrow Zawn to Crowns engine shaft and its engine house on the left and the winding engine house of the Boscawen diagonal shaft to the right. Crowns or Cudna Reeth lode occupies the cleft between the engine houses and appears as a brown ferruginous mass on the shore right of centre. The dark cliffs are formed of basic hornfels and skarn. |
