Description: Floor of disused quarry (outside NE wall of Deer Park), Alberbury, about 450 yd. S. 18 degrees from St. Michael's Church. Looking S. Floor of same quarry as in A4198, and A4199. A stripped dip-slope of the thin-bedded breccia. Dip north-east at amounts varying from about 8 degrees to 20 degrees. [North wall of quarry in Alberbury Breccia (highest beds). The upper member of the Erbistock Group, Upper Coal Measures. The breccia consists chiefly of subangular fragments of Carboniferous Limestone, of all sizes up to a foot or more in length, in a highly calcareous and gritty matrix. All types of the Carboniferous Limestone of Llanymynech and Oswestry can be recognized in the breccia.]
